Best Restaurants in Rincon Puerto Rico You Have to Try

My husband Brent and I have both been coming to Rincon since we were kids. Every winter we are lucky enough to spend a few months in Rincon. It is one of our favorite places but it can get overwhelming with the amount of food choices there are.

It seems like every other corner has a food truck and there are restaurants everywhere! I am here to help you out in deciding which restaurants in Rincon, Puerto Rico are worth visiting.

I’ve broken the best places to eat in Rincon into four categories: coffee shops, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

This is a guide to the best restaurants in Rincon Puerto Rico and not a directory of every place to eat. There are soooo many bakeries, food trucks and restaurants in Rincon it would be near impossible to hit them all up. This is a guide to what I think are the best restaurants in Rincon.

PS: If you don’t see something in this guide it might just mean I haven’t been to it yet! Write me a comment below if you think I’ve missed out on something great.

Best Restaurants in Rincon Puerto Rico

Coffee Shops:

Cafe 2 Go – this is my favorite coffee shop in Rincon! Located in a small food truck on the corner Cafe 2 Go gets busy in the morning but its because their coffee is so good! My go to’s are a hot coffee with steamed milk or an iced latte.

Jakes Java – Jake’s is a small coffee stand on the side of the road in Puntas across from Sandy Beach. They also serve smoothies!

Daily Dose – Daily Dose is a drive up coffee shop built out in an old van. The iced lattes are really good but the most expensive in Rincon that I’ve had.

Friends Cafe – Friends Cafe is a kiosk in the center of Rincon town. They have great coffee and you can walk around town or find a table or bench and people watch.

Stoked – Stoked is a tiny shop / coffee shop. They only have espresso here and if there is any sort of line (I’m talking one or two people) you will wait a longggg time. The great thing is its location in the Maria’s Beach parking lot.

Breakfast:

Wake n Bake – this food truck is located on the same corner as Cafe 2 Go just across the street. I tried Wake n Bake for the first time recently and WOW. I think it was the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Order it with the Chorizo – they are tiny crispy chorizo crumbles and so good.

The Wandering Bagel – the wandering bagel is an awesome food truck located near the marina on 413 that serves NY bagels!! But not just any NY bagels… The Wandering Bagel always has insane specials like the lobster roll bagel, sushi bagel (fresh tuna) and fisherman’s bagel which is smoked fish salad. Not to mention the classics are awesome too like their BLT and bacon, egg, cheese bagels.

Casa Isleña – this is my favorite restaurant in Rincon! Especially the breakfast. Location on Sandy Beach and I mean its right on the beach! You’re table will be next to the sand. Their breakfast is as amazing as the ocean views! My go to breakfasts are the huevos rancheros or breakfast burrito (its HUGE).

English Rose – ah you can’t come to Rincon and not experience brunch at the English Rose! Located up a really steep hill ( I mean realllly steep haha) which means insane views! The breakfast is great, try the french toast, and they have a mimosa sampler!

Rincon Bakery – this is Brent and I’s favorite bakery in town (and there a few to choose from) because they have the best ham, egg and cheese sandwiches on the delicious Puerto Rican water bread. We probably eat here 3-4 times a week its so good, cheap and easy.

Groovy Smoothies – located right next to my favorite coffee shop Cafe 2 Go, Groovy Smoothies makes smoothies and acai bowls!

Lunch:

Kahuna Burger – Kahuna Burger is one of our favorite places to get burgers in Rincón. This restaurant and bar is just one block back from Sandy Beach and has really good burgers and rum punches. (ps- also a late night bar!)

Casa Isleña – I love Casa Islena for lunch for the same reason I love it for breakfast and dinner. Not only is the food really good but you are dining beach side and ocean front. Oh and they have amazing fresh juices you can mix with alcohol of your choice.

Calypso – Calypso is a restaurant and bar located in the Maria’s Beach parking lot. They have a decent menu and a good view of the beach! I’d recommend coming for lunch or for sunset drinks.

Tamboo – this is one of our favorite lunches in Rincon. Tamboo is located right on the beach at Sandy Beach (my favorite beach!) They have great salads and sandwiches on their lunch menu, but we love ordering the Surtido a Puerto Rican sampler of fried food. Definitely not healthy but it is definitely really delicious. The Pina Coladas here are another favorite!

El Ankla – Ankla is only open on weekends and the bar goes off during the day on Saturday and Sunday but they also have great empanadillas and fish tacos. This is a great lunch spot if you are spending the day at the Marina Beach since it is right on the beach there!

Jack’s Shack – Jack’s Shack is located just across from Pool’s beach and is a food truck servicing tacos, burritos and sandwiches. I highly recommend the fish sandwich with their pineapple hot sauce!

Dinner:

Casa Isleńa – you might be noticing a pattern… I’ve listed Casa Islena for every meal and there is good reason. Their food is so good and the ambiance at the restaurant is great! This is a nice dinner for a date night or family dinner.

La Sirena – La Sirena is a sushi restaurant in Rincon town. It’s decorated in teals and has fun tiki glasses for cocktails.

Gyrlo – make sure you add Gyrlo to your list if you like Gyros! Yes, sounds kinda weird having a Greek place in Puerto Rico but honestly its SO good! This has become one of our favorite date night spots. They also have crazy cool cocktails.

Gas Burger – Gas Burger is your classic fast food burger spot with the exception that it is a small stand and next to La Estacion a popular bar on weekends. The burgers and chicken sandwiches are great and so are the onion rings. We come here a lot when its late and nothing is open or you want something quick and tasty.

La Cambija – La Cambija has been one of our favorite restaurants in Rincon for a long time! They’ve recently renovated though and made everything so generic looking and with that raised the prices. However, the food is still really good. It is a very casual place with tacos, burritos, sandwiches and plates on the menu. We tend to order the loaded fries (a must) and fish burrito or fish burger.

La Copa Llena – La Copa Llena is another nicer restaurant (although their Instagram doesn’t do a good job of showing this – so trust me) The restaurant is perfect for a special occasion or date night. Located near the Marina beach and right on the beach. The bar is super cute and they have great cocktails. Their outdoor seating area is surrounded by bistro lighting and has a great view of the ocean and sunset.

Shipwreck – Shipwreck is another favorite and one of the best restaurants in Rincon. It is family friendly and has a variety on their menu including salads, tacos, fish dinners, chicken fried steak and pasta dishes. Personally, when I am craving a salad i’ll come here and get the greek salad with shrimp.

Vatos Locos & La Peda – if you are craving an authentic Mexican taco this is your best bet! Vatos Locos is upstairs and is a more full service sit down restaurant while La Peda is street level and much smaller. This has more of a taqueria vibe and I prefer it over upstairs. Order the queso you will not regret it I promise!!

La Marea – La Marea is a food truck located in the Edwards grocery store parking lot. They have amazing food and are only open for dinners. We ordered the tuna poke which came super simple with a spicy mayo which I love and the fish burrito which was also great! This is a great option if you don’t feel like sitting down at a restaurant for dinner.

Gastropark – gastropark to the rescue when you are with a big group of people or just don’t know what you want. There are multiple food trucks within the gastropark (pizza, sushi, Mexican & more) as well as a bar with tv’s!

Mi Familias Pizzeria – an artisanal pizza restaurant located in the Puntas neighborhood right on 413. Mi Familia has great pizza when you are craving some Italian! They also have a bar and tv and the restaurant gets crowded during football nights.

*Clearly I need to take more pictures of restaurants and food next time I am in Rincon!
